On February 6, SWM Tiger (Chinese says “大虎” or “Dahu”) EDi, the first extended-range electric vehicle under SWM Motors, was officially launched. The new car launched a total of 4 models, with five-seater and seven-seater options, priced at RMB 99,900-123,900. The new car is built on the basis of the new EDi intelligent hybrid electric drive platform, which is jointly developed by SWM Motors and FinDreams Powertrain (a company from BYD), and adopts the extended-range hybrid system combined with DHT200 hybrid assembly + 1.5L engine.

Comparing to SWM Tiger fuel model, appearance of SWM Tiger EDi adopts tough appearance design, double-lens headlights, SWM logo on the front, sharp lines of the bumper, and relatively simple rear of the vehicle, with vertical tail lights on both sides. Black plastic bumpers make for less expensive repairs in the event of a scratch.

In terms of interior, SWM Tiger EDi adopts a blue two-color floating island cockpit with a 10.25-inch floating central control screen + a 7-inch LCD instrument panel. The car provides one-button start + keyless entry, audio-visual entertainment, and voice recognition control. Sway Tiger EDi is equipped with a slidable second row of seats, and at the same time, the third row of seats in the car can also be folded. This flexible design leaves an ever-changing storage space of 3 cubic meters in the car.

In terms of power, SWM Tiger EDi is powered by a 1.5L engine with a maximum power of 75 kW and a maximum torque of 126 Nm; a driving motor with a maximum power of 105 kW and a maximum torque of 210 Nm; The electric cruising range is 46km under WLTC standard, and its comprehensive cruising range can reach 1000km.

SWM Tiger EDi can realize free switching between two modes. When in the daily transportation scene, it will switch to EV mode and accelerate from 0-100km/h for 10 seconds. When in high-speed working conditions, SWM Tiger EDi will intelligently select the hybrid mode.
