Wuling has officially unveiled its latest light commercial vehicle, the Wuling Yangguang Pro. This new model features a fresh design language, expanding the brand’s commercial vehicle lineup to better cater to diverse user requirements alongside the existing Yangguang model.
The Yangguang Pro adopts a new “Auspicious Beast” design aesthetic that integrates aerodynamic efficiency, resulting in a drag coefficient of 0.325. Developed with professional logistics scenarios in mind, the vehicle features an optimized width-to-height ratio, allowing it to navigate urban environments, shopping centers, and residential areas with height restrictions of 2.2 meters with ease.
In terms of cargo capacity, the Yangguang Pro offers a spacious 9-cubic-meter cargo area. The design focuses on practicality with a square-shaped interior, an ultra-wide rear door opening, a low loading platform, and minimized wheel arch intrusion, ensuring a flat floor to maximize loading efficiency.
The Yangguang Pro utilizes a rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and will be available in both pure electric and range-extended powertrain configurations. For the pure electric version, the vehicle is expected to feature a silicon carbide electric drive system with a maximum motor output of 100 kW. Battery options are expected to mirror the current Yangguang lineup, offering capacities of 41.9 kWh, 43.53 kWh, and 56.2 kWh, providing various range options ranging from 300 km to 440 km.
