On August 12, 2022, SAIC Wuling‘s first new energy global car Wuling Air ev (right-hand drive version) was unveiled at the Indonesia International Auto Show, and the price was announced, of which the 200km standard version is priced at IDR 238 million, and the 300km long-range version is priced at IDR 295 million. In the future, it will enter to India, Egypt and more countries and regions around the world.

In terms of appearance, the new car obviously has a different design style from the previous Hongguang MINIEV and Wuling NanoEV. On the front face, the new car not only adopts the design of bar-type LED daytime running lights, but also is equipped with a split headlight group. At the same time, it adopts an irregular shape design, which is quite recognizable. At the same time, the bar-type light strip will also be equipped with a trim strip of the same bar-type design, which extends all the way to the outside rearview mirrors on both sides, which can further reflect the uniqueness of the vehicle.

Coming to the side of the car, the new car adopts a three-door and four-seat design, and there is an independent window behind the B-pillar, which is relatively narrow and long, so that rear passengers will not feel depressed. The door handle of the car is also very unique, and it is integrated with the B-pillar of the window.

In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width and height of 2974mm/1505mm/1631mm, and a wheelbase of 2010mm, which is slightly larger than the Hongguang MINIEV.

At the rear of the car, the new car is equipped with a taillight group similar in shape to the headlight group, and is also equipped with a horizontally distributed bar-type light strip. The “WULING” logo will be integrated under the bar-type light strip. In addition, a small-sized spoiler will be equipped above the rear of the new car to enhance the sporty attributes of the vehicle.

In terms of power, according to the previous application information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the new car will adopt a single-motor layout and be equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries with a maximum power of 30kW and a maximum speed of 100km/h.

Once, the introduction of Wuling Hongguang MINIEV model brought “unexpected” effects to the brand. So far, it is still the best model sold by the brand, and it has achieved great results. Obviously, after the success of the mini electric vehicle market, Wuling wants to further consolidate its position in this market segment. A global model, Wuling seems to want to use it to open the wallets of international friends. So, what do you think of this new miniature electric car?
