Roewe Launches All-Electric D6 Sedan at Auto Shanghai 2025, Limited-Time Starting Price of RMB 79,800

Roewe, a prominent automotive brand from SAIC, officially launched its all-new sedan, the Roewe D6, at the ongoing Auto Shanghai 2025. The new vehicle is positioned as a compact electric sedan. Roewe D6 will be available at a special one-price range of RMB 79,800 to RMB 119,800 (~US$10,900 – US$16,400). The vehicle comes in two range versions: 450km and 520km. Notably, the Roewe D6 achieved a Guinness World Record for the “Lowest Energy Consumption for Driving a Mass-Produced Pure Electric Sedan Through the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau” with an energy consumption of 9.125 kWh/100km. Several other models from the brand are also being showcased at the Shanghai Auto Show.


The Roewe D6 features a distinctive split headlight design, with LED daytime running lights positioned above and the high/low beam units below, creating a futuristic aesthetic. The front of the car incorporates upper and lower parallel grilles, adding to its three-dimensional appearance. In terms of exterior color, the new model is the first to utilize SAIC’s exclusive “Canglang” paint. At the rear, the vehicle sports bar-type taillights, an upward-curving “ducktail” spoiler, and a smoked rear bumper, further enhancing the rear’s layered design. Dimensionally, the Roewe D6 measures 4792mm in length, 1828mm in width, and 1496mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2750mm.

Inside, the Roewe D6 is equipped with a full LCD instrument panel and a 12.8-inch central control screen. The steering wheel adopts a dual-spoke flat-bottom design with multifunction buttons on both sides. The center console features a row of physical buttons for convenient access to frequently used functions, along with a wireless charging pad for mobile phones.

Regarding seating and space, the new car features mosaic micro-perforated matrix seats made with comfortable and breathable skin-friendly materials, offering excellent comfort. The vehicle boasts an interior space utilization rate of 72.8%, with front legroom of 1078mm, front headroom of 990mm, rear legroom of 928mm, rear knee room of 94mm, and a completely flat rear floor. The double-layer trunk offers a cargo capacity of 560L + 158L.

In terms of power, the Roewe D6 is built on SAIC’s new-generation Nebula pure electric architecture and utilizes CTB (Cell-to-Body) battery integration technology. The single electric motor delivers a maximum power of 95kW. For range, the new model will offer two versions with a CLTC (China Light-duty Vehicle Test Cycle) range of 450km and 520km.
