SAIC and the most well-known diversified business and the largest car sales company, Mansour Automotive Group, held a joint venture sales company unveiling ceremony and a joint venture manufacturing company strategic cooperation framework agreement signing ceremony in 18th June 2019.


Chen Hong, chairman of SAIC, said: “At present, SAIC has initially built an automotive industry chain that integrates R&D, manufacturing, marketing, logistics and finance into a global market. This time, the Mansour Group will join forces, introduce SAIC’s new products, new technologies and new models into the Egyptian market to provide local people with more high-quality, localized products and services.”

SAIC has set up innovative R&D centers in the United Kingdom, the United States and Israel, built Thailand, Indonesia, India vehicle bases and 93 overseas parts bases, and built 12 regional marketing service centers, 4 overseas logistics branches and 3 ocean routes. Established a diversified financial company in Indonesia, and the whole vehicle products entered more than 60 countries on 5 continents, forming six “10,000-unit” class regional markets in Thailand, Britain, Indonesia, Chile, Australia and the Middle East.

Let’s take a look at the future planning of SAIC in Africa.

STEP 1

In December 2018, SAIC established a sales joint venture in Egypt. The company is located in Cairo, Egypt and has 28 employees. Since its establishment in 2018, the company has provided marketing service support for SAIC’s own brand MG6, MG ZS and MG RX5 products.

STEP 2

SAIC and Mansour Group plan to establish a joint venture manufacturing company to produce and sell their own brand MG series products for Egypt and even the Central and North Africa market.

STEP 3

In the future, SAIC will expand its business scope to the whole of North and Central Africa, focusing on network development, strengthening after-sales service, expanding used car sales channels and enhancing brand added value. Complete the development layout of SAIC products throughout the Central and North Africa region and form a complete business linkage model.

It seems that MG is very popular in mysterious Egypt.
