The starting price is at 1.7 million pounds (~US$2,109,020 ), the car is now open for booking and start production in 2020. Lotus Evija is also the first heavyweight product of the Lotus brand after being acquired by Geely Holding Group. The official hopes to use this new car to re-revive the brand height and create a new benchmark for Lotus’s sports driving technology.
With a new LO design language, the Lotus Evija features a hole-like design that gives the car a distinctive sculptural feel, a low body and a sporty streamlined look to create a new generation of electric supercars. The high-rise wheel eyebrows on both sides of the front are matched with the vertical headlights, the front badge is made of metal and carbon fiber and can be customized.
The smooth curve continues from the wheel eyebrow to the side of the car, an inverted triangle on the side of the body outlines the body contour and creates a dynamic atmosphere in which the vehicle dive forward. According to reports, the car side is inspired by the fighter, and the idea of aerodynamics of the vehicle is similar to the fighter. In addition, the car uses a retractable external camera instead of traditional rearview mirror to provide a lower drag coefficient for the vehicle.
The rear end shape is unique. The taillights are designed with a rather exaggerated irregular polygon strip, the interior are consistent with and overall design elements, with a concave design. The body size of the Lotus Evija is 4459/2000/1122mm, the whole vehicle uses a large number of carbon fiber kits, making the vehicle quality only 1680 kg.

In terms of battery system, the vehicle is equipped with a 70kWh battery pack, which can achieve a cruising range of 400km(248miles) under the WLTP standard. It takes only 18 minutes to charge from 0% to 100% in 350kW DC charging environment.
The design, development and manufacture of Lotus Evija is done in the UK and will be produced at the UK headquarters in Hessel, Norfolk. The car will become the brand-new image of Lotus brand after the Elite, Exige and Evora models, and provide core ideas for the design and development of new high-performance luxury products.
As the top super-car, Lotus Evija has a limited production of 130 vehicles and 5 vehicles in China. Officials say the price is £1.7 million (does not include taxes).
