Updated: GWM released the price of WEY VV7 GT on Chengdu Auto Show 2019, the price ranged from 191,800-205,800 yuan (~US$27799 – US$29,818) in Chinese market.
As the pioneer of Chinese’s luxury SUV brand, the WEY brand (from Great Wall Motors) obviously cannot lack such a coupe SUV. Recently, a group of coupe version of WEY VV7 pictures was released, the new car named VV7 GT, powered by 2.0T engine, the maximum power of 223hp. It is worth mentioning that the new car has been redesigned in the tail shape compared to the regular version of WEY VV7, featuring a fastback shape and a sporty front lip. In addition, the new car will be equipped with rich comfort and safety features.
Appearance, VV7 GT’s front face design is very similar to WEY VV7, but the details have been adjusted, the shape of the front bumper has been adjusted, the interior uses a horizontal grille decoration, the shape of the LED daytime running lights on both sides has also changed to a new style. As a more sporty-oriented model, the new car also features sportier front lip.
The side of the new car shows an obvious coupe style. The roof line shows a downward trend after passing the C-pillar, with the design of the double-waist line, the sports atmosphere is relatively well-placed. At the same time, the double five-spoke rim shape further enhances the sporty atmosphere of the car.
At the end, the red reflector on both sides of the bumper has an increased area compared to the VV7, the lines are sharper. In terms of body size, according to the previous declaration, the length, width and height are 4774/1931/1672mm and the wheelbase is 2950mm.
In terms of interior, VV7 GT continues the design style of the current WEY VV7 model. The black color is the main color, the chrome is added to the details to make the overall look more luxurious. At the same time, the purple atmosphere lights make the new car look more emotional. In terms of configuration, the new car will use Nappa leather seat, knee airbag (KAB), Launch Control mode, virtual dynamic sound wave feedback system, water spray wiper, and full-speed rhythm ambient light (ambient light stops when the speed is up to 90km/h based on safety considerations). In addition, the car is equipped with two-zone heating for the rear seats, and it has seat massage, seat ventilation, lumbar support adjustment, Seatbelts Unfastened warning. At the same time, the rear passengers can also be controlled by the central armrest display, and have the functions of controlling the radio, controlling the sunroof and sunshade to open and close, and adjusting the brightness of the central display.
In the powertrain section, WEY VV& is powered by the GW4C20B 2.0T engine, which has a maximum power of 223 hp (167 kW), the transmission system is expected to pair 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
