Recently, we learned from Geely Automobile official that the brand’s pure electric compact car Geely Emgrand EV500 officially listed in China market, 2019 Geely Emgrand EV500 is model year version based on Emgrand EV450, it launched total three trim levels, the price range is 135,800-159,800 yuan (~US$19279 – US$22,686) after the subsidy. The new car’s power battery capacity is 61.9kWh and 51.9kWh, and the corresponding NEDC cruising range is 310miles(500km) and 248miles(400km).
In terms of appearance, 2019 Geely Emgrand EV500 continues the young design style of the old model. It incorporates a concave shape around the front badge, it uses the natural light and shadow effect to darken the area around the front badge, in order to achieve the effect of highlighting the visual focus. Other details are basically the same as the old models. Its body size is 46311/1789/1495mm, and the wheelbase is 2650mm, it is the same as that of the old model.
In terms of configuration, the new car features Bluetooth phone, voice control, App remote control and other functions. The central control panel uses an 8-inch LCD touch screen, 2019 Geely Emgrand EV500 is also equipped with ESP, ABS anti-lock braking system, EBD, HBA, TCS, HHC, RSB and and TPMS.
In terms of power, the new car adopts the same power system as the old model. It is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor with maximum power of 120kW (160hp) and peak torque of 250N·m, the power battery capacity is 61.9kWh and 51.9kWh, the corresponding range is 500km and 400km under NEDC, the official said that the car’s energy consumption level can reach 13kWh/100km. In addition, the new car is also equipped with a discharge function, which can output 220V low-voltage power through a dedicated discharge line to supply power for laptops, ovens, lights and other equipment.
