Geely Xingyue has officially listed in China on May 11th 2019. Previously, ChinaPEV.com has introduced Geely’s new model FY11 which is right the factory code name of Geely Xingyue. Geely Xingyue is positioned as a coupe SUV. It offers 3 variants: the traditional Fuel Version (1.5T or 2.0T) labeled 300T or 350T, the MHEV (mild hybrid version, 1.5T+48V), and the PHEV Version (1.5T) labeled 400T, total of 11 models. The 0-100Km /h acceleration time of 2.0T fuel model is only 6.8s. The price of Geely Xingyue starts at 135,800 end 216,800 yuan (~US$19,808 – US#31,622).

Geely Xingyue offers two exterior suite in both regular and sports versions, the family-style expanding cosmos grille is getting flatter, higher trim level model is equipped with matrix LED headlights from Valeo with adaptive function. The hatchback design is the main feature from side view, while the window adds a black border. At the tail part, the new car is decorated with chrome trim, the sports version is equipped with a bilateral total 4 exhaust layout, further emphasizing its sporting attributes. In the interior part, the 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel is connected to the 12.3-inch central control touch screen. The central control touch screen is equipped with GKUI2.0 intelligent system and supports Apply CarPlay and Gaode map Apps as well as music apps, etc.

Geely Xingyue is the first model developed by Geely CMA architecture. CMA is Geely’s mid-level vehicle basic module architecture born in CEVT (China Euro Vehicle Technology AB). As the first high-end sports SUV based on Geely CMA platform, Geely Xingyue has a strong and rich power system. Among them, the engine of the traditional Fuel Version 2.0T+8AT power combination comes from the Volvo Drive-E series 2.0TD T5 engine, the 2.0TD engine is made of all-aluminum material, the maximum power is 175kW (234HP), the peak torque is 350N·m. It meets the world’s most stringent emission standards such as China-VI-b(CN-6b) and Euro-6d, matched with the Aisin 8AT gearbox, the 0-100km/h acceleration time takes only 6.8 seconds.

Geely Xingyue has also introduced MHEV & PHEV versions based on the 1.5TD+7DCT powertrain. The powertrain is jointly developed by Geely and Volvo. The 1.5TD engine has a maximum power of 130kW and a maximum torque of 255 Nm. The 7DCT dual clutch transmission has an efficiency of up to 97%, shifting can be completed in 0.2 seconds. The comprehensive power of MHEV version is 140kW, max torque is 300N.m, claimed fuel consumption is 5.6L per 100km

As the first coupe SUV equipped with a plug-in hybrid system, Geely Xingyue PHEV is equipped with a 11.3kwh ultra-high-capacity ternary lithium battery. The all-electric range can reach 56km, the maximum power of the whole vehicle is 190kW, and the maximum torque reaches 415N. m, the claimed fuel consumption per 100 km is only 1.6L, the fast charging time is no more than 1.5 hours. Geely Xingyue PHEV also launched a model with a higher capacity battery of 15.2kWh, with all-electric range of up to 80km, fast charging of only 1.7 hours. Claimed fuel consumption is only 1.2L.

Geely Xingyue uses the front MacPherson + rear multi-link independent suspension; equipped with BorgWarner’s fifth-generation electro-hydraulic four-wheel drive system, the maximum torque distribution ratio of front and rear wheels can reach 50:50, and the torque output to the rear axle reaches 1050Nm; equipped with DP-EPS rack-type electronic power steering from ThyssenKrupp, with a transmission ratio of 15.7, equipped with Goodyear 20’Eagle F1 tires and large size 322*28mm front brake disc, it has a braking distance of only 35.3m from 100-0km.

In addition, the AGS intelligent variable intake grille can reduce the wind resistance of the entire vehicle, improve the temperature rise of the engine, and improve the air conditioning heating by actively adjusting the grill opening angle.

In smart technology and humanized configuration, Geely Xingyue is equipped with a face recognition system (FACE-ID), which verifies the driver’s identity by collecting face information, and then automatically adjusts the seat, exterior mirror, and car according to preset options.
