Recently, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd. registered the new trademark “Binjie” (Chinese: “缤界”) on April 9th, which may be the official Chinese name of Geely SX12. It is understood that this car will be introduced to China market in the second half of 2019. Geely SX12 is extremely sci-fi, the new car will be powered by a 1.5-liter turbo engine.
Geely Binjie (SX12) basically continues the design style of the CONCEPT ICON concept car. The split headlights are extremely sci-fi. The upper daytime running lights are long and narrow. The lower part of the light group is consisted with three LED lamps, and the front face is narrow and rounded rectangular. It is very science fiction.
The side of the body has a relatively simple design style, the overall shape looks very tough. The roof is made up of the popular floating roof design. In terms of body size, the length, width and height are 4350mm/1810mm/1615mm, and the wheelbase is 2640mm.
From spy photos we can see the interior of Geely Binjie (SX12) is very similar to the CONCEPT ICON concept car on 2018 Beijing Auto Show. The raised center control panel design has a strong three-dimensional effect. Three multi-function steering wheels and electronic dashboards are available. The new car will be powered with 1.5T powertrain.
