
GAC New Energy (GNC NE) Aion V will be officially opened for pre-sale tonight (April 27, 2020). As the third model of GAC NE Aion series, it is built on the second generation GEP2 pure electric platform, positioning pure electric compact SUV. There are 4 range versions, NEDC ranges are 500km / 520km / 530km / 600km respectively.

Aion V follows the family-style design style. The body lines are simple and tense. The front face adopts the X-type layout. The design is officially named “Mecha” and the split LED headlights are called “light claw electric eyes “, which is very recognizable.

From the side, the new car adopts a floating roof design. The chrome trim strips that extend from the headlights to the rear stretch the side visual effect. In addition, the new car is also equipped with a hidden door handle. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4586/1920 / 1728mm, and the wheelbase is 2830mm.

In terms of the rear, Aion V is relatively simple overall, but the cut-out shape and the design of the taillights and fog lights area and the front of the car still have some echoes.
The interior of Aion V is called the “worldwide view” cockpit, which continues the family-style design, including the dual-screen, double-width steering wheel, and knob-type shift structure that we have also seen on Aion S and Aion LX. In addition, the new car will also be equipped with the intelligent health cockpit pioneered by the family. In addition, the full scene one-button remote parking will also appear on the Aion V. In terms of configuration, it will also be equipped with a Huawei’s 5G + V2X intelligent communication system for the first time, and will also achieve L3 level automatic driving assistance.
In terms of power, GAC Aion V is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor provided by Nidec, with a maximum power of 184 horsepower and a peak torque of 350 Nm. According to different vehicle configurations, the cruising range of Aion V is divided into three versions of 500km / 520km / 600km (NEDC operating conditions). Among them, the 600km range version is equipped with a ternary lithium battery pack, and its battery system energy density has reached 173Wh / kg; the battery system energy density of the 520km and 500km range versions are also 170Wh / kg.
