At the 2022 CIIE （China International Import Expo）, the FAW Toyota bZ3 officially meets the public. The new car is positioned as a pure electric mid-size sedan, also built on the e-TNGA platform, using BYD’s motors and batteries, with a range of more than 600km.
The whole car basically continues the styling design of the concept car, and adopts the design elements of Toyota bZ series models. The rich lines and multi-plane design make the car look very futuristic. The new car uses a closed front grille and slender LED headlights, which looks full of technology.
The side of the body is rich in shape, and the use of multiple lines outlines a strong three-dimensional sense. The rear also continues the three-dimensional design style, and at the same time, it is matched with the through-type taillight design, which further enhances the visual width of the rear of the car.
The overall design of the interior presents a simple style. The central control area adopts a digital island design, and the vertical large screen is very eye-catching, which can realize the touch operation of air conditioning, audio, windows, trunk and other functions. The knob-shaped shifting mechanism looks very technological and conforms to the current design trend; at the same time, the new car supports technological interconnection functions such as voice control, wireless charging, and car-machine interconnection. The seats are grey and look more elegant.
In terms of power, the car’s battery and motor are provided by BYD’s FinDreams Battery. The battery uses a lithium iron phosphate battery, and the motor uses a rear single e-motor. Its maximum power provides two options of 135 kilowatts and 180 kilowatts. In terms of battery life, the official said that it will exceed 600km.
