On June 9, Xpeng Motors officially announced the pre-sale information of its first coupe SUV, the Xpeng G6. The pre-sale price of the new EV starts at 225,000 yuan. It will be officially launched on June 29. The new car is positioned as a medium-sized SUV. It is the first model under the new SEPA2.0 architecture. The whole series will be equipped with an 800V high-voltage Sic platform as standard and have a computing power of 508TOPS.
Xpeng G6 has almost the only 800V + automatic driving assistance + smart cockpit configuration in this price range, which is very powerful. In terms of appearance, the front face of Xpeng G6 adopts Xiaopeng’s family-style design, including ring light strips and split headlights, which have a high degree of brand recognition. The diamond-shaped grille is used under the front of the car, which enhances the sense of movement. The car is equipped with 31 pieces of perception hardware, and can also be equipped with lidar.
The length, width and height of the new car are 4753/1920/1650mm, and the wheelbase is 2890mm. The side of the car is a standard coupe style SUV, and the slip -back roof visual effect is good. The car provides a variety of wheel styles, and the size can reach 20 inches. At the rear part, the car can be equipped with a self-adaptive lifting electric rear spoiler, and the style of the taillights echo the front face light.
In the car, the design of Xpeng G6 is very concise, equipped with a double-spoke steering wheel, an embedded small -sized LCD instrument, and the central control part uses a 14.96-inch LCD screen to integrate most of the control functions of the vehicle. In addition to this, there are no other physical buttons outside the central control.
The car is equipped with the second-gen intelligent auxiliary driving system, the XNGP. At this stage, it can realize the city’s NGP(Navigation Guided Pilot) in some big cities in China like Guangzhou, Shenzhen or Shanghai, and the map-free city realizes the recognition of traffic lights and go straight through the intersection. It is planned to launch the XNGP “commuting mode” in the third quarter of this year. XNGP will become a user’s just-in-demand function for users to push commute and high-frequency travel. In 2024, XNGP can evolve into auxiliary driving from parking spaces to parking spaces.
Xiaopeng G6 uses 800V hig -voltage SiC silicon carbide platform+3C battery cell, and can get 300km battery life for 15 minutes. The battery comes from the ternary lithium battery of CALB and is equipped with a peak power of 218kW.
