The Xpeng Huitian intelligent electric flying car Xpeng X2 (Chinese name “旅航者X2” or Voyager X2) arrived in the Netherlands for the first time on March 10, and will hold its official debut in Europe later.
Xpeng Huitian (or HT Aero, official webiste) was founded by founder Zhao Deli in 2013, and in 2020, He Xiaopeng and Xpeng Motors jointly invested and hold shares. The data shows that Xpeng Huitian has applied for more than 200 core technology patents, and currently has nearly 700 team members. In 2021, Xpeng Huitian completed a Series A financing of over US$500 million.
The Xpeng X2 is the fifth-generation two-person intelligent electric aircraft from Xpeng Huitian. The product was officially launched in November 2020, and the first flight was successful in June 2021. It is planned to conduct a test flight in Europe in the first half of this year.
According to previous information, the X2 uses a closed cockpit for the first time, and the entire body adopts a carbon fiber structure. In addition, Xpeng X2 is a pure electric powered aircraft with a battery life of up to 35 minutes and a design flight altitude of less than 1,000 meters, which is suitable for low-altitude flying in future cities; during the flight, the maximum flight speed is 130 kilometers per hour.
