Recently, a group of spy photos suspected of Xpeng Motors‘ new crossover have been exposed on the Internet. Judging from the C-pillar line of the new car, the car adopts a fast-back design, while the length of the front overhang is short. According to previous official information from Xpeng Motors, the brand will indeed launch two new platforms and its first model in 2023.
From the spy photos, the front face of the new car still adopts the family design language, such as the annular daytime running lights and the split light group are retained. From the side of the car, the front overhang of the new car is shorter, and the C-pillar part has a clear back line. In fact, as early as December 2021, some fans have exposed a spy photo of the rear of a suspected new car, with more obvious features, and its taillight layout is similar to that of the P7.
At Xpeng Motors’ 2021 fourth-quarter and full-year earnings conference call, Xpeng Motors CEO He Xiaopeng also mentioned that the brand will launch two new platforms and its first models in 2023, namely the C-class car platform and the B-class car platform. The new platform will inherit and develop Xpeng Motors’ electrification, intelligent driving capabilities, and advanced manufacturing processes (such as super-large integrated die-casting). According to the plan, the new platform will help Xpeng Motors gain strong cost control capabilities , and cover a wider user group in the mid-to-high-end market with huge growth potential.
