NIO EC6’s first trial production vehicle goes offline, to be launched in July

We learned from NIO that the first full-process trial production model, the mid-size pure electric SUV, EC6, was officially off the assembly line. The new car has been unveiled at Shenzhen Auto Show in 2020. As the third mass-produced model launched by NIO after ES8 and ES6, NIO EC6 can be seen as the fastback version of ES6, compared with ES6, it has a stronger sense of sport. max range of 615km under NEDC, which is higher than ES6 and ES8. It is understood that NIO EC6 will be listed in July and then delivered in September.

In terms of appearance, the front face of NIO EC6 has also no change. It still uses NIO’s iconic X-Bar design, and the split headlights provide it with a very high degree of recognition. There is no exact information on body size, but it is not expected to be too different from the ES6. For reference, the ES6 length, width, and height are 485019651758mm, and the wheelbase is 2900mm.

In terms of power, EC6 is the same as ES6, it will be available in performance and sports versions. Among them, the performance version adopts the power combination of the front permanent magnet motor and the rear induction motor, which can provide a maximum power of 400kW (544Ps) and a maximum torque of 725Nm. The acceleration time of 0-100km/h is 4.7s. The sports version is equipped with dual permanent magnet motors, with a maximum power of 320kW (435Ps), a maximum torque of 610Nm, and an acceleration time of 0-100km/h of 5.6s.

In terms of cruising range, the new car provides 70kWh and 100kWh battery packs. According to different configurations, the NEDC comprehensive cruising range starts at 425km, and the sports version equipped with a 100kWh battery pack has a cruising range of 615km.
