On November 29, the official Weibo of NIO Automobile announced that the first batch of ET7 pre-production vehicles was officially off the assembly line, which marked the official start of the verification of the vehicle’s small-batch production capacity, and the mass production process is steadily advancing.
NIO ET7 officially went on the market in January 2021. After the first production line verification prototype rolled off the assembly line in mid-May, on September 16, its first batch of production line trial vehicles rolled off the production line at the Hefei JAC-NIO Plant.
Regarding the first electric sedan, it is positioned as a pure electric mid-to-large sedan. The car offers three configuration options, and its price is 448,000-526,000 yuan. It is reported that the new car will be delivered in the first quarter of 2022. In terms of appearance, the ET7 is an extension of the ET Preview concept car, and the design style of the whole car adopts a minimalist style. In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width and height of 5098/1987/1505mm and a wheelbase of 3060mm.
In terms of details, the highlight of the NIO ET7 is the lidar and camera on the vehicle’s “head”, which can provide drivers with a wider field of vision. In terms of computing power, the car is equipped with four Orin chips from NVIDIA, has an ultra-high bandwidth image interface, ISP can process 6.4 billion pixels per second, and the total computing power is up to 1016 TOPS.
The interior is decorated with renewable wood veneers, and the whole system comes standard with a dome-style glass roof, a microfiber ceiling, a HUD head-up display and a Nappa interior package. The car is equipped with NOMI Mate 2.0, its air-conditioning outlet adopts a hidden design, and is equipped with a 12.8-inch central control screen and a 10.2-inch instrument panel, and its resolution and contrast have been improved. The new car uses a surround waterfall atmosphere light, and has 64 colors adjustable, which can be linked with different light and shadow effects and scenes to create a home atmosphere for the driver. In addition, the car is equipped with 23 speakers as standard, which can realize a 7.14 immersive sound system.
In terms of power, the NIO ET7 is equipped with front and rear dual-drive motors. The system has a comprehensive maximum power of 480kW, a peak torque of 850N·m, and a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.9s. In terms of range, the car has three battery pack options with battery capacities of 70kWh, 100kWh and 150kWh respectively. The range of the car under NEDC operating conditions exceeds 500km, 700km and 1000km, respectively.
