The 2026 Paris Motor Show officially kicked off on October 12, serving as the stage for Leapmotor’s latest international expansion efforts. The Chinese automaker showcased a robust lineup, headlined by the European debut of its compact, tech-focused sedan, the Leapmotor A05.
The A05 is positioned as a versatile urban vehicle, combining a compact footprint with flexible interior packaging and advanced smart features. Leapmotor aims to leverage the model’s competitive pricing to capture a broader segment of the European market.
Alongside the A05, the brand’s flagship SUV, the Leapmotor D19, made a notable appearance. The D19 highlights the company’s R&D prowess, featuring the latest range-extender technology designed for long-distance travel, supported by rapid charging capabilities and an integrated battery-to-chassis architecture.
In a significant move for its localization strategy, Leapmotor confirmed that production of the B10 SUV has officially commenced at the Stellantis plant in Zaragoza, Spain. This facility, operated in partnership with Stellantis, utilizes the group’s extensive manufacturing expertise to produce vehicles specifically tailored for European consumers, reinforcing Leapmotor’s “In Europe, For Europe” commitment.
To further support the transition to electric mobility, Leapmotor owners will gain access to the Stellantis “Free2move Charge” ecosystem. This integration provides a comprehensive charging solution, granting users access to over one million public charging points across Europe.
