Among them, the Jetour Shanhai T2 was officially launched, with three variants available at a price range of 179,900 yuan to 209,900 yuan (around $25,600 to $30,000). The Jetour T1 made its debut as a compact plug-in hybrid SUV, considered the “individuality leader” of the T product line. Additionally, the Jetour Shanhai T5 was unveiled, while the Jetour Shanhai T7 and the pickup truck Shanhai P5 were showcased on screen. Let’s take a closer look at the highlights of this Jetour brand night.

Just by looking at the design, it’s easy to guess that the Shanhai T2 is a model representing the “travel+” (it is a pun for “travelers”) strategy. The boxy, tough design gives it a great visual impression. Unlike many current SUVs with a retro design, this new car adopts a square headlight design, coupled with a wide front bumper, giving it a powerful overall aura.

In terms of body size, the car measures 4785mm long, 2006mm wide, and 1875mm tall, with a 2800mm wheelbase. Based on our previous hands-on experience with the 208km off-road version, we saw fluorescent yellow design elements incorporated into details like the wheels and roof, injecting a touch of vibrancy into the vehicle. As for configuration, the 129km version comes with 255/60 R19 tires, while the 208km version gets 255/55 R20 tires.

The rear of the car also adopts a common design approach seen on tough off-road vehicles, with a polygonal spare tire cover in the middle and vertically-arranged taillights on both sides. The taillights have an internal light strip that resembles a “T” shape, making them highly recognizable when lit. Additionally, the horizontal and vertical lines integrated on both sides of the rear bumper and above the taillights enhance the visual layering of the rear end.

Stepping inside, the car adopts the current market’s mainstream design language. The center console features a large 15.6-inch screen, integrating almost all functions. Of course, as a product that emphasizes off-road capability, the car also has a separate knob for selecting driving modes and other functional buttons. It’s worth mentioning that the car will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, indicating that while it’s a travel and off-road focused model, it will deliver a user experience on par with current automotive market standards.

In terms of additional configurations, the car will come standard with features like rear parking radar, panoramic imaging [imaging system, likely a 360-degree camera], transparent chassis, a selection of driving modes (including sport, economy, standard, and snow), hill start assist, electric tailgate, roof rack, keyless entry and start, remote app control, a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster, automatic headlights, intelligent zone temperature control, rear air vents, a 15.6-inch central control screen, intelligent zone voice control, voice recognition, multi-layer soundproof glass on the front doors, and rain-sensing wipers.

Furthermore, mid-to-high-end models will offer features like lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, road traffic sign recognition, fatigue driving monitoring, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, highway cruise assist, traffic congestion assist, a 64-inch panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, 50W wireless phone charging, adaptive high and low beams, customizable ambient lighting, a front passenger leg rest, power-adjustable front seats, ventilated/heated/memory front seats, FACE ID, and OMS life body monitoring system.

For power, Jetour Shanhai T2 is equipped with a 1.5TD DHE+3DHT hybrid system, with a maximum power of 115kW and a maximum torque of 220 Nm. It is paired with a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission, and the system’s combined maximum power reaches 280 kW, with a peak torque of 610 Nm. The 129km variant comes with a 26.7kWh lithium iron phosphate battery from CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited), while the 208km variant gets a 43.24kWh lithium iron phosphate battery from CATL.

The WLTC combined fuel consumption of the 129km variant is 1.41L/100km, while the 208km variant consumes 0.93L/100km. The WLTC pure electric range of the 129km variant is 100km, and the 208km variant can travel 161km on electric power alone. With a full tank of gas and a fully charged battery, the official combined range of the vehicle is 1300km.

Jetour Shanhai T1

During the Jetour brand night, the Jetour Shanghai T1 made its debut, positioned as a compact plug-in hybrid SUV. From a design perspective, it bears a high resemblance to the previously released Jetour Shanghai T-L. It is understood that the new car will be officially launched in the fourth quarter of this year.

In terms of design, the new car adopts a familial design language. The digital light and shadow front grille will not be absent. Meanwhile, the internal headlight group adopts a petal-like shape, which is highly recognizable. The grille will also integrate LED light strips internally, extending to the headlight groups on both sides, creating a visual effect similar to penetration. We also learned that when the vehicle starts, the light strip will pulsate and flicker.

On the side of the car, the new car continues to adopt a square design, displaying a certain rugged attribute. There are obvious bulges on the front/rear fenders, creating a “three-stage” visual effect. It is understood that the length of the new car’s body is close to 4.7 meters, with a wheelbase of 2800mm.

At the rear, the new car also adopts a rugged overall design. Similar to the front face, the rear face also incorporates some fashionable elements amidst the toughness. For example, the uniquely shaped taillight group can serve as a very good embellishment.

Entering the interior, similar to the exterior, the new car also integrates many elements commonly seen in rugged off-road SUVs into the details. For example, a large-size handle will be provided in front of the passenger seat. However, at the overall design level, the Shanghai T1 chooses to cater to the needs of the home market. The combination of a full LCD dashboard and a large central control screen is currently a popular configuration. Of course, to make it more convenient to use, there is also a row of physical buttons for commonly used functions below the screen.

In terms of power, the Jetour Shanghai T1 adopts the Chery Kunpeng Super Energy Hybrid C-DM technology, equipped with the Chery 1.5TGDI hybrid special engine, matched with a DHT gearbox. It is worth mentioning that the vehicle has electric four-wheel drive function, with a comprehensive output power of up to 450kW.

Jetour T5

The vehicle provides 5/6/7-seat layouts, equipped with a 2.0T+2DHT+2-speed P4 motor, with a total system power of 560kW and a total torque of 795 N·m. The official claims its range is 1400km with a full tank and battery charge. It is expected to be officially launched in 2025.

Jetour T7

The Jetour T7 is expected to be launched in 2025. The vehicle is positioned as a million-level (RMB) SUV, built on an 800V platform, equipped with four motors and an intelligent lifting suspension system. The official claims that the vehicle has functions such as amphibious capability (guess it will be similar to BYD Yangwang U8), high-altitude oxygen cabin, bulletproof and explosion-proof, and drone detection. Its minimum ground clearance is 351mm, and the rear wheels can steer positively and negatively by 6 degrees, with climbing mode, etc.

Jetour P5

The Jetour P5 will adopt a tough mech-style design, equipped with a 2.0T+2DHT+2-speed P4 motor, with a pure electric range of 150km and a comprehensive range of over 1400km. The car will also be equipped with a three-level flip multifunction tailgate. It is reported that the car will be officially launched in 2025.

Nowadays, Jetour has a very rich product line, and the positioning of each series is gradually becoming clear. From the series perspective, the Jetour brand can basically be divided into X series, represented by models such as X90; traveler series, represented by models such as Traveler; L series, represented by models such as L9; T series, represented by models such as T2. From the positioning point of view, it can be basically divided into “family travel” and “off-road travel” two parts, and the T series models we see today should belong to the off-road travel sequence. With the continued advancement of the “travel+” strategy, we will see more new products in the future. At the Beijing Auto Show, the models exhibited at this Jetour Brand Night are expected to be unveiled, and interested friends can also come to the auto show site to experience the new cars in person.
