The BYD Song MAX EV all electric version was officially released at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show. BYD Song MAX EV still uses the exclusive dragon face family style design. It is powered by a motor with maximum power of 120kW (160HP), range will be up to 279miles(450km).
BYD Song MAX officially launched in 2017, Song MAX is a MPV model based on BYD Song, it offers 6-seat/7-seat layout.
Appearance of BYD Song MAX EV pure electric version is the same as the fuel version, but changed in the partial. The front face still uses the “Dragon Face” family design language, the interior of the grille uses armor-like chrome design, while the chrome-plated horizontal stripes in the fog light area are slightly different from the fuel version.
The BYD Song MAX EV version has a length, width and height of 4680mm/1810mm/1690mm and wheelbase of 2785mm, the size is exactly the same as the fuel version. It is equipped with ten-spoke slender striped wheels and 225/50 R18 tires. In addition, the Song Max EV version will also provide 6/7-seat layout.
In interior, it still features a 12.8-inch large floating screen in center control, looks very high-grade, the central control area has a brushed design, it looks very simple and almost all the physical buttons are integrated on the central control screen. The engine gear lever adopts an electronic gear. The seat is covered in leather.
In terms of power, BYD Song MAX EV uses a ternary lithium battery, equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, the maximum output power is 120 kW, the battery energy density reaches 160WH/KG, the maximum cruising range is about 279miles(450km), top speed of 150km/h, the 0-100km/h acceleration time should be within 6 seconds, this is BYD’s first pure electric MPV.
