According to BYD officials, recently, BYD signed an order for 30 buses with Nobina, the largest bus operator in Northern Europe. These vehicles are scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2022 and put into operation in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. This is the third time that BYD has joined hands with Nobina Finland to promote the electrification of zero-emission buses in the Nordic region after BYD built the largest electric bus fleet in Finland for Nobina last year.

The new order includes 15 units of 13-meter and 15 units of 15-meter pure electric buses. Both models use a new generation of lithium iron phosphate batteries, and the battery life can fully meet the operational needs of the Nordic region. In order to further enhance the aesthetics and safety, the interior and exterior of the bus adopt new technology materials, which fully reflect the brand’s environmental protection concept.
In November 2021, Nobina ordered 70 BYD electric buses, including 42 BYD 13-meter electric buses and 28 BYD 15-meter electric buses, which are scheduled to be delivered in the summer of 2022 and will mainly operate on Helsinki’s city routes. In August 2021, BYD completed the delivery of 119 buses to Nobina, operating in Helsinki and Turku.
