BYD held a 2019 spring new product launch conference in Beijing. During the event, BYD officially released images for their upcoming brand new medium-sized car: BYD HAN(汗). The new car will adopt the latest Dragon Face 2.0 family design language, belonging to the Dynasty series, it will be officially unveiled at 2019 Shanghai Auto Show. As early as 2015, the information of BYD’s new plug-in hybrid vehicle was exposed. It is reported that 0 -100 km/h time of BYD HAN is 2.9s, linear acceleration is comparable to Tesla Model S P100D.
From the released image we can see BYD HAN has a smooth body line, or a back-sliding body design, the raised waistline creates a sporty field that is ready to go. BYD HAN is positioned as a medium-sized coupe. According to the information released during the product launch in 2015, BYD HAN’s body size is 4,590/890/1,490 mm and the wheelbase is 2,940 mm. The car is expected to be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 2.0litre turbocharged engine and a 110kW(150PS) electric motor, while the four-wheel drive version will also use a 350kW (476PS) electric motor in the rear axle. Under such powertrain blessing, BYD HAN’s 0-100km/h acceleration time is only 2.9 seconds.
