Hyundai Elantra (Ling Dong) PHEV version is officially launched today in China market, the new car is fine-tuned for appearance, powered by a 1.6L engine + motor combination power system, all-electric range up to 85km, the fuel consumption is only 1 liter per 100 km under comprehensive conditions. Price of Elantra PHEV China version ranges from 157,800-178,800 yuan (~US$22,450 – US$25,438).
Hyundai Elantra is called Ling Dong in China, it is produced by Beijing-Hyundai, a joint venture by BAIC and Hyundai.
The front face of the new car follows the banner-type grille design of the current fuel version, but the chrome trim strip is more dense, the charging port of the new car is located on the right front fender, and the fuel filler is still on the left rear fender.
In terms of body size, the new car has a width and height of 4610/1800/1450mm and wheelbase of 2700mm, which is consistent with the fuel version.
In terms of interior, Elantra (Ling Dong) PHEV China version has changed compared to the fuel version in air-conditioning outlets and air-conditioning control areas, but the overall style is consistent with the fuel model, and the mechanical gear lever are retained.
In terms of power, the new car is powered by a plug-in hybrid system consisting of 1.6L engine + electric motor, the maximum power of the engine is 105 ps, and the comprehensive fuel consumption is 1L/100km. The official revealed that its all-electric cruising range is 85km.
