On July 17, Avatr officially announced the start of pre-sales for its latest mid-size SUV, the Avatr 07 L. The vehicle is available in two configurations, with pre-sale prices set at 249,900 RMB (approx. $34,300 USD) and 279,900 RMB (approx. $38,400 USD). As a new “large five-seater” SUV, the 07 L features an extended wheelbase of 2,990mm—up from the 2,940mm of the standard Avatr 07—and is equipped with advanced hardware, including an 896-line LiDAR system, significantly boosting its competitive edge. The official market launch is scheduled for August 8.
### Design and Dimensions
The Avatr 07 L continues the brand’s “Future Elegance” design language. It features a minimalist, wing-inspired front fascia that eschews a traditional grille, relying on sleek lighting signatures to create a futuristic aesthetic. The model will be available in several exterior colors, including Matte White, Ink Black, Rock Grey, Star Purple, and Crescent Silver.
The side profile is characterized by fluid lines and a sloping roofline, which lends the vehicle a dynamic, fashionable stance rather than the bulkiness often associated with mid-size SUVs. Inside, the cabin mirrors the layout of the Avatr 07, featuring a 15.6-inch floating central display, a 35.4-inch panoramic “Star Ring” screen, and dual 6.7-inch streaming rearview mirror displays. To improve passenger comfort, the headrests and shoulder supports have been widened. The rear air conditioning vents have been redesigned with a refined outline and now include a new touch-sensitive control panel.
### Powertrain Options
The extended-range (EREV) version is powered by a 1.5T range-extender system. The range extender produces a maximum power of 110 kW. Single-motor versions offer 231 kW, while tri-motor versions provide a combined output of 131 kW/200 kW/200 kW. Battery options include 39.05 kWh and 52.01 kWh packs, offering pure electric ranges of 197 km, 240 km, and 270 km, respectively.
The pure electric (BEV) model features a single-motor version with 305 kW, and a tri-motor version with outputs of 210 kW/251 kW/251 kW. It is equipped with an 87.301 kWh battery, providing ranges of 650 km and 725 km.

The pure electric Avatr 07 L is positioned to compete directly with rivals like the Xiaomi YU7.
