April 24, 2024 – Huawei held its 2024 Huawei Intelligent Automotive Solutions Launch Conference today.
At the conference, Huawei Intelligent Automotive Solutions BU CEO Jin Yuzhi announced the official release of the Qiankun (Chinese “乾崑”) ADS 3.0 intelligent driving system, which has been upgraded and evolved in all aspects in terms of map-free intelligent driving, all-round collision avoidance, and all-scenario parking.
Jin Yuzhi introduced that the recognition and perception capabilities of the new architecture of ADS 3.0 have been upgraded from the BEV network + GOD network architecture of ADS 2.0 to the GOD large network.
In simple terms, the road and scene recognition capabilities of ADS 3.0 can enable the intelligent driving system to understand the scene through cloud and actual vehicle training, and make driving decisions that are closer to those of human drivers, achieving the experience of “driving wherever there is a road”.
At the same time, the all-round collision avoidance system (CAS) carried by ADS 3.0 has also been upgraded to CAS 2.0, and the active safety capabilities of the front, rear, and sides have been comprehensively improved.
Among them, in the AEB intelligent driving horizontal evaluation test, the AITO M9 equipped with the CAS 2.0 all-round collision avoidance system took the lead in all scenes such as pedestrian crossing, left turn encountering pedestrians, and probe electric tricycles.
In terms of parking, ADS 3.0 supports all-scenario parking, including irregular, oblique, and customized parking, and can park as soon as a parking space is visible.
