On July 11, 2020, Maple Auto’s first pure electric small SUV, the Maple 30X, has been officially launched in the Chinese market. The price range is 68,800 to 82,800 yuan (~US$9,831 – US$11,832) after subsidy. The new car is offered in a total of 5 models this time, the NEDC range of all models is 306km. The models launched this time include 4 regular models, and one for car leasing market, which is not sold to individual users.
Maple Auto was established in March 2019. It is wholly controlled by Geely Technology Group Co., Ltd., Maple 30X is the first mass-produced model. Maple 30X is actually a rebadged Geely VISION X3 and adds some new design elements on appearance, such as a closed front grille with extremely new energy attributes, and the Maple 30X interior also continues the family-style design of the Geely brand, which improves the texture.
The length, width, and height of Maple 30X are 4005/1760/1575mm, the wheelbase reaches 2480mm. The highlight on the side of the car is the triangular window on the A-pillar, which is of great benefit for improving the visual field of the A-pillar blind area.
Coming to the interior, a set of similar family-style design language from Geely is very familiar, The 8-inch center control screen and the silver-colored decorative plate in front of the co-pilot with imitation metal texture are very eye-catching. With the good workmanship of the center console and physical buttons, the interior greatly enhances the texture of this small SUV.
In the power part, the Maple 30X is powered by an E-motor with a maximum power of 70kW (approximately 95PS) and a peak torque of 180N·m. In terms of range, all models of this car are equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of 37kWh, and the NEDC range is 306km.
