Zeekr‘s highly anticipated 9X, dubbed the “Chinese Cullinan,” officially premiered today at the opening of the 2025 Shanghai International Auto Show. The new vehicle is slated to officially launch in the third quarter of this year. Notably, the Zeekr 9X will mark Zeekr’s first foray into hybrid powertrains, debuting the brand’s Super Hybrid Technology. Zeekr will also introduce the Zeekr 9X Glorious Edition, with an expected starting price of RMB 1 million, which will form the “Glorious Family” alongside the Zeekr 009 Glorious. Additionally, Zeekr unveiled its V4 ultra-fast charging megawatt pile, capable of achieving a peak charging speed of 1.3 megawatts for a single connector.

The exterior design of the new Zeekr 9X inherits the design philosophy of the Zeekr 009, showcasing a commanding presence with its boxy silhouette. The front fascia retains the chrome-plated intake grille and split headlight arrangement. The panoramic starlight rear light bar features 42,242 diamond-cut surfaces, while the 22-inch mirror-polished forged wheels undergo 30 hours of manual polishing, significantly enhancing the vehicle’s refined appearance. Furthermore, the anticipated Glorious version of the Zeekr 9X is expected to adopt a black and gold paint scheme to further elevate its luxurious appeal.

The side profile reveals the integration of LiDAR sensors. Zeekr 9X will be the first model to feature the Qianli Haohan H9 solution, a technological architecture specifically developed by Geely for L3-level intelligent assisted driving. This system comprises five LiDAR sensors, including one long-range LiDAR and four blind-spot LiDARs, and is powered by dual Thor intelligent driving chips with a combined computing power of 1400 TOPS.

The vehicle also features a large rear quarter window and a robust D-pillar design. The rear styling is expected to be highly distinctive. According to previous information, the new model will also be equipped with a “Heaven and Earth Gate” (likely referring to a split tailgate) and “Panoramic Seating.” Its dimensions will exceed 5.2 meters in length, with a width of 2029mm, a height of 1819mm, and a wheelbase of 3169mm.
In terms of powertrain, the new vehicle will be equipped with Zeekr’s Super Hybrid Technology, utilizing a 900V high-voltage platform and a 2.0T super hybrid engine with a maximum power output of 205 kW and a thermal efficiency of 46%. Under CLTC conditions, it boasts a pure electric range of 380 kilometers and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time in the 3-second range, with a top speed of 240 km/h. The pure electric version features front and rear motors with power outputs of 290 kW and 370 kW, respectively. Additionally, it supports a 6C charging rate, allowing for a 20-80% charge in just 9 minutes. The 9X also incorporates a 48V active electronic anti-roll bar, coupled with a dual-chamber closed air suspension and a dual-valve CCD electromagnetic damping system. The air suspension can raise the vehicle by a maximum of 110mm, resulting in a maximum ground clearance of 288mm, providing enhanced cornering and off-road performance.
