Geely officially released an official map of the 2020 Geely Emgrand GL recently. The most prominent characteristics of the new model was a new waterfall-type air intake grille from the front and the use of an elegant brown color scheme for the interior, changes that make the car more refined and yet more modern in overall appearance
Physical looks-wise, the 2020 Emgrand GL appears to be more stylish than ever. From the sides, trapezoidal air intakes and L-shaped chrome strips provide modern accents though the overall look appears little changed from the former model. The smooth bodylines as well as the 17-inch dense spoke aluminum alloy wheels were retained. A polygonal taillight group linked by chrome décor is employed at the rear of the car.
Interior-wise, the overall color scheme was the only thing altered from the existing model. The elegant brown color scheme is complemented by a new black piano paint textured trim for the center console plus topaz brown door trim and seats.
Configuration-wise, the 2020 Emgrand will carry a 10.25-inch central control screen, GKUI19 intelligent entertainment system. This system has a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot sharing function able to connect five terminals, over 500 brands and over 2000 smart products; interconnection function, and unlimited free traffic rights for five years. In addition, a 7-inch color LCD dashboard, integrated ICC intelligent pilot system, LKA lane keeping assist system, AEB-P urban pre-collision security system, SLIF speed limit recognition and IHBC intelligent far and near light control system will come standard. The car will also come equipped with a “CN95” high-efficiency composite air conditioning filter.
Under the hood, the new car will come equipped with a 1.4T and 1.5T turbocharged engines with maximum power of 141 horsepower and 177 horsepower, respectively. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual transmission, a CVT transmission, and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
