On October 11th, Lynk & Co Z20 (known as Lynk & Co 02 in Europe) made its global debut in Milan. Additionally, the new model is set to be launched and delivered in the Chinese market within the year. Built on the SE architecture, it is positioned as a pure electric compact SUV and is expected to be priced between 170,000 and 180,000 yuan in the domestic market.

The new model maintains Lynk & Co‘s distinctive THE NEXT DAY design language. Its front end is characterized by the brand’s signature “h-shaped” LED DRLs and a closed-off grille. The lower fascia incorporates a continuous air intake and integrated headlights, forming a visually striking “fang” design that reinforces the vehicle’s youthful and energetic character.

The side profile features a hidden A-pillar, flush door handles, and frameless doors, contributing to an impressive drag coefficient of 0.25. Dimensionally, the vehicle measures 4460mm in length, 1845mm in width, and 1573mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2755mm. At the rear, a full-width taillight with four vertical light strips creates a highly distinctive look.

Inside, the new vehicle maintains the family design language with a floating center console display and is expected to feature the LYNK Flyme Auto intelligent in-vehicle system. The D-shaped steering wheel aligns with its youthful positioning, and a digital instrument cluster is positioned behind it. The center console adopts a layered structure, providing cup holders, storage compartments, and an armrest. Additionally, charging ports and a smartphone storage slot are conveniently located near the seats.

In terms of powertrain, the European version will be equipped with a 66kWh ternary lithium battery pack and a 200kW rear-mounted electric motor. The Chinese version, on the other hand, will feature a 61.47kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a range of 530km. The rear-mounted electric motor has been upgraded to deliver a maximum power of 250kW and a peak torque of 373 Nm. Moreover, the vehicle supports 4.5C fast charging, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in just 15 minutes, adding over 370km of range.

As a follow-up to the Lynk & Co Z10, the new model is the second pure electric offering in the Chinese market, hence the name Z20. For overseas markets, particularly Europe, it’s the second model after the Lynk & Co 01, thus named 02. This naming convention aids in consumer recognition and recall.

Many might be curious about the differences between the Lynk & Co Z20 and the Zeekr X. Based on current information, the two vehicles are similarly sized, but the Zeekr X features a 200kW motor, while the Lynk & Co Z20 offers a more powerful option. In terms of positioning, Lynk & Co targets the premium segment, while Zeekr focuses on luxury. As a result, we can anticipate a price difference. The manufacturer has indicated that the main Lynk & Co Z20 models will be priced around 170,000 to 180,000 yuan. Whether the final pricing will bring surprises remains to be seen.
