As the Chinese No.1 self-owned vehicle brand, Geely Auto has developed rapidly in recent years. It has not only acquired Volvo and other car brands but also has 12 sub-brands. It is not an exaggeration to say that it is China’s “VW”.

Although the Geely brand is involved in many brands and models, there is still a blank in the pickup field, but this situation will be broken.

Recently, Geely’s commercial vehicle brand, Yuancheng Auto announced that its first pickup model, Yuancheng FX pickup has officially opened pre-sales. The new pickup is actually based on Geely Boyue PRO and offered in two variants. The pre-sale price range is RMB 126,900 to RMB 136,900.

The appearance of Yuancheng FX pickup is basically the same as Geely Boyue PRO and simply added a truck bed directly to the rear. The black straight waterfall-style center grille on the front face is still very beautiful and sporty. The headlight design is very tough.

From the side styling, the body line of this car is quite similar to the Boyue PRO, truck bed is behind D-pillar, but it doesn’t look as obvious as the traditional pickup truck type, and it has strong passenger attributes.

Because it is built on the same platform as Boyue PRO, Yuancheng FX features the same integral body design without a beam, which is not like other traditional Chinese pickup and the first case in China.

The new car has a length, width and height of 4905/1831/1713mm and a wheelbase of 2670mm. Except that the car is 361mm longer than the Boyue PRO, the width, height, and wheelbase are the same, even with 18-inch wheels.

In the power part, the new pickup is powered by the same 1.8T turbocharged engine of Boyue PRO, with a maximum power of 184 horsepower, a peak torque of 300 N·m, and a comprehensive fuel consumption of 8.5L per 100 kilometers. It is matched with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, which is also the first pickup truck with integral body and dual-clutch among Chinese brands.
