Geely released the official images of Geely Boyue PRO. The new car was upgraded on the basis of the current Geely Boyue based on the appearance, interconnection system and power, it can be considered as the facelift of Geely Boyue. It is expected that the new car will be officially released in the near future and will be listed during the year.
Geely Boyue PRO has made significant adjustments to the front face and rear end: the larger size of family style expanding cosmos grille, it is similar to Geely Borui GE, the new car also uses smaller headlight group (LED light source in high trim level model), which is separated from the front center grille. In addition, Geely Boyue PRO also redesigned the front bumper, it has larger size inlets on both sides, the color separation process also enhances the sense of movement.
As a facelift model, the side of the vehicle has no significant changes compared to the current model. The design elements of the waist line, side skirt, side window profile and floating roof are the same as the current models. In terms of size, the new car measures at 4544/1831/1713mm and wheelbase of 2670mm. The length and height are slightly larger than the current Geely Boyue, while the car width and wheelbase are unchanged.
In the rear part, the change of the new car mainly occurs in the taillight group and the lower bumper. The exterior style of taillights is still the same as the current model, but the internal lamp cavity has been modified, and the central Geely brand LOGO is also replaced by the “GEELY” letter. Under the lower bumper area, the new Boyue Pro has adjusted the position of the lamp group and the shape of the guard plate. The silver-black color matching enhances the contrast, and the exhaust port is still bilateral two-out chrome design.
In contrast, the interior design of Geely Boyue PRO is mainly concentrated in the center console, the overall design sense is greatly improved, the new touch screen size is larger, and the lower piano key air conditioning control area is added to facilitate the front driver and passenger operation. In addition, the upgrade of new steering wheel, the area around the shift lever, the panoramic sunroof, the LED interior ambience lights, the driving mode selector knob and the interior material make it look more textured.
In terms of power, Geely Boyue PRO will be powered by 1.8TD+7DCT and 1.5TD+6AT power combinations. Among them, the 1.8TD engine is a new generation of products, the maximum power is 135kW (184Ps), and the peak torque is increased by 15N·m to 300N·m compared with the previous generation, matching 7DCT gearbox.
The 1.5TD three-cylinder engine was jointly developed by Volvo and Geely Automobile with maximum power of 130kW (177Ps) and peak torque of 255N·m, matching Aisin’s third-generation 6-speed automatic manual transmission.
