The Stelato G9 has officially appeared in the latest Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) filing, signaling the arrival of a new rugged, boxy SUV from the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA). The vehicle will be available in both extended-range (EREV) and pure electric (BEV) configurations.

The design of the new SUV is distinctly boxy, featuring a minimalist and understated front fascia. A chrome trim strip runs across the entire front, complemented by rectangular headlights that house semi-circular and circular lighting elements—the outer ring serves as the daytime running light, while the inner circle functions as the main beam. The front bumper is notably robust, and the roof is equipped with a LiDAR sensor.

In terms of dimensions, the Stelato G9 adopts a short front/rear overhang and long wheelbase design. It measures 5,206mm (or 5,377mm depending on configuration) in length, 2,050mm in width, and 1,897mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,160mm. These dimensions surpass those of the Yangwang U8. The vehicle will be offered in both 5-seat and 6-seat configurations and features electric side steps and distinctive disc-style wheels.

The rear design echoes the front, with square taillights containing circular light clusters, reminiscent of classic off-roaders like the Beijing 212. A contrasting rear bumper enhances its rugged aesthetic, and customers can opt for a trailer hitch and an external storage box.

Under the hood, the pure electric version features a dual-motor setup from Huawei, with the front and rear motors delivering 160 kW and 277 kW, respectively. It is powered by a CATL ternary lithium battery and has a top speed of 220 km/h.

The extended-range model is equipped with a 1.5T range extender producing 118 kW, paired with a dual-motor system (160 kW front/277 kW rear). It utilizes a CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and also reaches a top speed of 220 km/h. The WLTC pure electric range options include 220 km, 238 km, 285 km, 308 km, and 312 km. The vehicle features a unibody construction, front double-wishbone and rear multi-link suspension, and is equipped with air suspension.
