From the electric super run EP9 in Nordschleife, to the hot ES8 in China, and then NIO ES6 this year, NIO can be said to be constantly concerned. At present, NIO has launched two production models of ES8 and ES6. Among them, NIO ES8 has delivered a total of 11,348 units in 2018, it is the No. 1 in China’s new energy vehicle manufactuer.
According to NIO’s product plan, after the two pure electric SUV ES6 and ES6, NIO plans to launch a pure electric coupe – NIO ET7. NIO brought the first sedan product ET7 preview – eT preview version on April 16th 2019 Shanghai Auto Show.
ET7 preview version, as the third model of NIO, maintains the NIO family design language. The front face inherits the X- shape design, but in contrast, the “X” on NIO ET preview is more stretched than the ES8 and ES6, stretching the horizontal visual effect.
The headlights of NIO ET7 preview are slim and fused in the lines of the “X” shape grille. The interior of the lamp group uses a matrix LED layout, the vertical LED lights are embedded with a metal band, divided into two, to create a good sense of technology. The light-up effect of the headlight group is beautiful.
Overall body line of ET7 preview version is smooth and dynamic. A slender waistline runs from nose to tail, the hidden door handle is very nice, it can also further improve aerodynamics.
ET7 preview version uses a 5-wheel hub, the wheel size is also exaggerated, it features a 22-inch wheel and Continental SportContact 6 high-performance tire measuring 295/30 R22.
In the tail part, NIO ET7 preview version adopts the current popular coupe slip-back style, the shape of the taillights echoes the headlights, which are matrix LEDs, connected by a chrome trim.
The details information of power has not yet been announced. However, with reference to the existing ES6, ES8 and the EIC core technology announced during the auto show, it is expected to be powered by a dual-motor + four-wheel drive system assembly.
The motor layout of Standard Version might be front 160kW+rear 160kW, total output power is 320kW (429HP), Performance Version might use the front 160kW/rear 240kW motor layout, total output power is 400kW (536HP), 0-100km acceleration time is 5.6S and 4.7S respectively, range will be longer than 279miles (450km). The launch time of production version NIO EP7 is still unknown.
