NIO Pilot, the self-driving assistance system being developed by Weilai, will add two important functions in 2020: Automatic Assisted Navigation Driving (NOP) and Vision fusion fully automatic parking system (S-APA with Fusion). In order to allow more users to experience NIO Pilot ’s increasingly perfect auto-assisted driving capabilities, Weilai has renamed “Complete Features of NIO Pilot” to “Complete Package for NIO Pilot” and upgraded the functions at the same time. In addition, an “NIO Pilot Featured Package” containing some core functions of the NIO Pilot has been added. The new optional package has been officially launched on April 1st, priced at 15,000 yuan.
The NIO Pilot “Featured Package” features include:
Vision fusion fully automatic parking system（S-APA with Fusion）
Lane Keeping Assistant（LKA）
Cross Traffic Alert – Rear（CTA-R）
Arrival warning-active braking（CTA-B）
Dynamic instrument interface and automatic lane simulation（ALS）
Far and near light automatic control（AHB）
Combined with the basic NIO Pilot functions that are standard on all the ES8 / ES6 series, the “Featured Package” function can bring driver a practical and intelligent new driving experience.
The “NIO Pilot Full Package” optional package will add the “Automatic Assisted Navigation Driving (NOP)” function, and the original “Fully Automatic Parking System” function will be upgraded to “Visual Fusion Fully Automatic Parking System”. The other functions remain the same, and the price is still 39,000 yuan. Customers who have purchased the “NIO Pilot Full Package” can enjoy this feature.
The Automatic Assisted Navigation Driving (NOP) system is a deep integration of the navigation system and the NIO Pilot’s automatic assisted driving function, allowing vehicles to implement functions such as automatic entry and exit of ramps, overtaking, parallel lines, and cruise driving in accordance with the planned route under navigation under specific conditions.
Vision fusion fully automatic parking system combines a surround-view camera and ultrasonic radar to make a more accurate perception of the surrounding environment. The parking system can be activated through NOMI voice, support for identifying parking spaces based on ground parking lines, support for multiple consecutive idle parking spaces, and target selection A number of functions such as parking in parking spaces have been upgraded. Compared with the original fully automatic parking system, the parking space search, identification, selection, interactive experience, and parking capacity have been comprehensively improved.
These two new features will be pushed to users through the FOTA upgrade.
