On February 10, NIO announced its latest sales results. Data show that in January 2020, the overall delivery volume of the NIO brand was 1,598 units, a year-on-year decrease of 11.47%. Among them, NIO ES6 delivered 1,493 units and NIO ES8 delivered 105 units. Since the start of delivery in June 2018, a total of 33,511 vehicles have been delivered by the entire brand.
According to NIO, affected by the Spring Festival holiday and situation of Coronavirus, there were only 16 valid delivery days in January this year, which was 6 days less than the same period last year. Based on this calculation, NIO delivered an average of 100 vehicles in January, an increase of 22% year-on-year, and sales efficiency improved.
Li Bin, founder, chairman and CEO of NIO, was more satisfied with the company’s sales performance in January. He said: “During the epidemic, the safety of employees and users is our top priority. I want to thank our users and employees’ strong support for fighting the Coronavirus.”
Feng Wei, Chief Financial Officer of NIO, added: “Because the government has postponed the post-holiday return to work to control the epidemic, we expect vehicle production and delivery in February to decline from the peak in the past few months. We will continue pay close attention to the situation of the epidemic, and continue to work with the Chinese government and all walks of life at home and abroad to fight the epidemic. “
It is reported that as of January 31, 2020, NIO has opened 83 stores nationwide, including 22 NIO Houses and 61 NIO Spaces, and its sales network has covered 59 cities across the country.
