On the 2019 NIO Day, NIO launched the 2020 NIO ES8. The price of the new car is slightly increased compared to the 2018 model, but the range 2020 ES8 is improved compared to 2018 ES8. Recently, NIO officially announced arrangements for new car order locking and car delivery.
2020 ES8 equipped with a 70kWh battery pack is able to provide 415km NEDC range, 84kWh battery pack models provide 485km under NEDC, while the two models of 2018 ES8 have only 355km and 425km in NEDC range. In addition, the new ES8 also launched a model equipped with a 100kWh battery pack, and its NEDC range has reached 580km. The new model can be said to make up for the shortcomings of range on the old models.
According to official arrangements, the new ES8 will start to lock orders and schedule production from March 16, 2020, the specific order lock time is as follows: customer ordered before December 31, 2019 (inclusive) will be scheduled production on March 16, 2020 user orders from January 1, 2020, to March 31, 2020, will be scheduled for April 7, 2020; user orders after April 1, 2020 (inclusive) will be paid Scheduled production will be locked after 7 days.
In addition, the order-locking schedule for the optional blue appearance will be announced separately, new cars are expected to start delivering in April 2020. NIO also introduced the purchase subsidy for old car owners on NIO Day in 2019. The old version of the ES8 owners can get 10,000 – 15,000 yuan for the purchase of the new ES8.
