2019 Chery eQ1, a mini-car from Chery New Energy was launched in China market on June 28th. It launched three models, the price range is 59,800-75,800 yuan (~US$8,710- – US$11,041) (subsides are canceled for EV in China).
2019 Chery eQ1 has also a cute name in China: “Little Ant” or “Small Ant” (Chinese: 小蚂蚁), it is a miniature pure EV, body size of 3200/1670/1550 mm, wheelbase of 2150 mm, the overall size is bigger than Smart Fortwo but smaller than Smart Forfour, 2019 Chery eQ1 offers 2-seater and 4-seater layout, both have the same body size.
2019 Chery eQ1 has been unveiled at 2019 Shanghai Auto Show. The overall shape kept the same, it has only been adjusted in some details. 2019 Chery eQ1 has a NEDC range of 301km (187miles).
In terms of power, 2019 Chery eQ1 features a permanent magnet synchronous drive motor with maximum power of 40 hp (30 kW) and maximum torque of 120 N.m. In terms of batteries, it is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with battery capacity of 35kWh. The official shows that the NEDC’s comprehensive working range is 301km (187miles).
In terms of battery charging, the new car is equipped with three modes: household 220V, AC slow charging and DC fast charging. It takes 30-50 minutes charging from 30% to 80% amount of battery capacity in DC fast charging mode; while it takes 5-7 hours to be fully charged by AC slow charging with 6.6kW charger.
