BYD Auto officially released the design drawing of BYD Han DM. The new car features a four-door coupe-style body design as a whole, and the front of the car has been upgraded and evolved on the basis of the Dragon Face family design language, which further improves the recognition of the whole vehicle and the coefficient of drag of the vehicle (0.233Cd). According to the latest news, the new car is expected to be officially launched in the third quarter of 2020.
From the design map, BYD HAN DM has a high degree of similarity to the previously released BYD Han EV. The bar-type chrome decorative strip on the front face continues from the Dragon Face family design, but the lines of the decorative strip are more elegant and the middle part “HAN” logo is also engraved, the long and narrow LED headlights increase the recognition of the front face and enhance the exquisite sense of the front. However, the biggest difference between Han DM and the Han EV is the huge hexagonal black grille in the lower part of the former chrome trim, and the design of the front bumper has also been adjusted.
On the side of the car, the length, width and height of the new car are 4980/1910 / 1495mm, and the wheelbase is 2920mm. It can be seen that BYD HAN DM uses a multi-spoke rim with complex shapes. In addition, the new car uses a hidden door handle, which has not been used in BYD models before.
At the rear, BYD claims that the HAN DM model adopts the “round-in-front and square-in-rear” design concept, mainly to reduce wind resistance so that the wind can quickly leave the body at the rear of the vehicle. Judging from the previously announced official images, the new car uses straight-through bar-type tail lights and is equipped with chrome strips to further stretch the visual width.

In terms of interior, the car uses black and brown as the main colors and is decorated with matte silver. It is low-key but not dull. In the design of the center console, the car uses relatively simple and smooth lines, it creates a strong luxury atmosphere by the different surface treatment process such as piano paint and the contrast of light and dark tones.
In terms of power, BYD HAN DM is powered by a 2.0T turbocharged engine of the model BYD487ZQB, with a maximum power of 192 horsepower. At the same time, in this plug-in hybrid system, it is also equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous drive motor with a maximum power of 245 horsepower.
