As the wave of electrification reshapes the performance car segment, Opel has officially unveiled the new Corsa GSe. Serving as the brand’s pure electric performance flagship, the model inherits the spirit of the historic OPC line. Built on Stellantis’ CMP architecture, it delivers a robust 207kW (approx. 278 hp) and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds.

The exterior features a comprehensive performance-oriented makeover. The front fascia adopts a dedicated sporty bumper, paired with a dual-layer blacked-out grille and triangular air curtains to optimize aerodynamics. The hood lines are sharper, enhancing the car’s aggressive stance.

The side profile is defined by 18-inch performance wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (215/40 R18). The yellow GSe-branded brake calipers create a striking contrast against the black wheel arches. At the rear, a black spoiler and a dedicated diffuser have been added to improve high-speed stability. Throughout the vehicle, blacked-out trim and exclusive GSe badging ensure the car stands out without being overly ostentatious.

Inside, the cabin maintains a driver-centric layout, utilizing performance-oriented materials and contrasting color elements to create an immersive environment. The seats are upholstered in Alcantara with a black, gray, and yellow checkered pattern, providing excellent support and bolstering, while yellow seatbelts add a vibrant touch. The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel offers a premium tactile feel, complemented by metal paddle shifters. Aluminum sport pedals and a black headliner further reinforce the sporty theme.

The interior is equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen featuring a GSe-exclusive performance module that displays real-time data such as G-forces and battery thermal management. Practical features like a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, keyless entry, push-button start, and a rearview camera ensure the car remains comfortable for daily use.

Under the hood, the Corsa GSe is powered by a front-mounted electric motor producing 207kW and 345 N·m of torque, making it the most powerful production Corsa in history. It is equipped with a 51kWh battery pack, offering a range of approximately 350 km (217 miles). To handle the power, the drivetrain includes a mechanical limited-slip differential (LSD) to minimize wheel spin and improve cornering stability. The chassis has been tuned specifically on the Nürburgring, featuring a lowered, stiffer suspension setup and Alcon four-piston brake calipers, significantly elevating its handling limits compared to the standard Corsa.
