OPPO, a Chinese smart phone brand, is reported to get into vehicle industry. Recently, we have learned from techradar that OPPO plans to launch pure electric vehicles in the Indian market and has begun planning the time for production. It is expected that the first model will be released at the end of 2023 or early 2024.
However, OPPO has not yet announced the content of the first pure electric product, but according to speculation, with the advancement of the OPPO electric vehicle project, information including whether to cooperate with third-party manufacturers to produce, etc., may be in the future. At present, rumors about OPPO building cars have been heated up. Although OPPO has not officially announced to build cars so far, it has applied for automotive-related patents since 2016. As of 2021, OPPO has applied for more than 60 automotive-related patents. It is worth mentioning that at the OPPO Developers Conference in October, OPPO also proposed system-level solutions for travel scenarios and officially launched the “OPPO Carlink” solution.
