Recently, WM (WELTMEISTER) Motor and Public Company Limited (PTT, formerly known as the Petroleum Authority of Thailand) signed a memorandum of cooperation, the two sides will integrate their respective advantageous resources to jointly explore cooperation opportunities in the fields of smart electric vehicle technology and new retail modes. At the same time, WM Motor will also help the development of Thailand’s new energy vehicle industry. As a result, WM Motor is expected to become the first Chinese car company to export intelligent electric vehicle independent intellectual property technology to the international market.
The official said that the signing of the memorandum of cooperation between WM Motor and PTT reflects the recognition of WM Motor ‘s innovation strength with independent intellectual property rights in the core technology and business mode of smart electric vehicles, it is also an important milestone for WM Motor to actively implement the China’s “Belt and Road” initiative and participate in the construction of “Thailand 4.0”.
According to previous reports, from January to June this year, WM Motor’s first production model, the WM EX5, ranked first in Chinese EV startup companies with a delivery of 8,536 vehicles, In the future, WM Motor will always follow the “three-step” development strategy, continuously consolidate the positive research and development foundation, expand the forward-looking research and development layout of globalization, and continue to promote the development of China’s new energy automobile industry.
