It is understood that the new car, codenamed Gemini, is expected to be named: NIO ES7, with an annual production plan of 60,000 vehicles. At the same time, the new EV is built on the NT2.0 technology platform, or will be released in 2022.
From the spy photos, the naked car uses the design of NIO ES6 as a whole, but in contrast, the new car has a longer body size. At the same time, the smart components of the roof are the same as ET7 and ET5, which include a lidar and high-position camera.
According to the information disclosed in the second quarter financial report of NIO, NIO will deliver three new models based on the NT2.0 technology platform in 2022. Currently, ET7 and ET5 are known, so the third model is expected to be the one exposed this time.
