Chery has officially unveiled its all-new Arrizo 7 in the latest filing from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The compact sedan is set to offer consumers a choice between traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) power and a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain.

The new Arrizo 7 adopts Chery’s latest design language, characterized by sharp, slender headlights and a bold, multi-faceted front grille featuring a honeycomb-style mesh. This design approach lends the sedan a more aggressive and athletic stance compared to its predecessors.

Both the ICE and PHEV variants share an identical front-end aesthetic. From the side profile, the primary visual distinction lies in the wheel designs, with both versions offering optional red brake calipers to enhance the sporty appeal. In terms of dimensions, both models share a wheelbase of 2,770 mm and a width of 1,850 mm. The ICE version measures 4,739 mm in length and 1,491 mm in height, while the PHEV variant is slightly taller at 1,498 mm. The rear is defined by a modern full-width taillight assembly and a prominent, aggressive rear diffuser trim.

Under the hood, the gasoline-powered Arrizo 7 is equipped with a 1.5T engine producing a maximum output of 105 kW, with a reported fuel consumption of 6.2L/100km. The plug-in hybrid model utilizes a 1.5L engine specifically tuned for hybrid systems, delivering 82 kW of power (71 kW net power). The PHEV variant features a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack and boasts a highly efficient fuel consumption rating of 0.69L/100km.
