Dongfeng Motor, Stellantis, and Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën Automobile (DPCA) have officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement, marking a significant milestone in their 34-year partnership. The collaboration involves a total investment exceeding 8 billion RMB (approximately $1.1 billion USD) to jointly manufacture Peugeot and Jeep brand vehicles in China for the global market.

Starting in 2027, DPCA’s Wuhan plant is scheduled to begin production of two new energy vehicles (NEVs) for the Peugeot brand. These models will be based on the design language showcased in the brand’s latest concept car, which debuted at the 2026 Beijing International Auto Show. These vehicles are intended for both the domestic Chinese market and international export, supporting Peugeot’s global growth strategy.

Furthermore, the agreement confirms that the Wuhan facility will also commence production of two new energy off-road models for the Jeep brand starting in 2027. These Jeep vehicles are slated for distribution in global markets.

This strategic partnership aims to leverage industrial capital to drive innovation in new energy and intelligent connected vehicle technologies. By integrating global brand resources and market reach, the collaboration is set to accelerate DPCA’s transformation toward a more intelligent, international, and sustainable automotive future.
