Xpeng has officially launched the G9L, a new mid-to-large five-seat SUV, with prices starting at 241,800 yuan ($34,100). For a limited time, the entry price is reduced to 231,800 yuan ($32,700). The vehicle is available in both pure electric and extended-range (EREV) configurations, with the entire lineup featuring 800V ultra-fast charging technology as standard. The G9L is set to debut at the Paris Motor Show on October 12, with production taking place simultaneously at Xpeng’s Guangzhou plant and the Magna Steyr facility in Graz, Austria.
The G9L adopts Xpeng’s latest design language, featuring a closed front fascia and a continuous LED light bar. The front bumper integrates AI digital projection headlights, which support advanced features like pedestrian yielding, lane-change alerts, and proximity warnings. The vehicle measures 5,120/1,999/1,782 mm with a 3,100 mm wheelbase, emphasizing a balanced, premium aesthetic.
Inside, the cabin is designed as a “First-Class Space,” featuring a floating central touchscreen, an embedded instrument cluster, an 88-inch AR-HUD, and 9-inch streaming rearview mirrors. The seats utilize AI-driven adaptive technology with 91 built-in pressure sensors to ensure optimal comfort, including a one-touch “Zero Gravity” mode.
For rear-seat passengers, the G9L offers a 21.4-inch 3K entertainment screen and an “Executive Island” console equipped with wireless charging, a folding table, and a 12.5L refrigerator capable of temperatures ranging from -6°C to 50°C. The audio experience is powered by a 33-speaker system supporting 7.1.6.8 panoramic sound.
In terms of performance, the pure electric version offers a maximum CLTC range of 755 km, while the extended-range version boasts a combined range of 1,602 km, with a 435 km pure electric range. Both versions support 5C ultra-fast charging, capable of adding 450 km of range in just 9 minutes. The chassis is equipped with double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension, intelligent variable damping, and dual-chamber air suspension, along with 15-degree rear-wheel steering.
The G9L debuts Xpeng’s second-generation VLA intelligent driving system, powered by up to three Turing AI chips providing 2,250 TOPS of computing power, enabling advanced navigation in complex road conditions.
