BYD officially announced that it has won an order for the all-new BYD e6 from ComfortDelGro, the largest taxi operator in Singapore, with a total of 100 units.
It is understood that ComfortDelGro, the largest taxi operator in Singapore, ordered 100 all-new e6 from BYD to form the company’s first pure electric taxi fleet, which will be put into operation in the second half of 2022. BYD’s all-new e6 is equipped with a blade battery with a cruising range of up to 520km on a single charge. Equipped with a high-efficiency on-board charger, it only takes about 40 minutes to charge the battery from 20% to 80%.
Since entering the Singapore market in 2014, BYD has continued to deepen its efforts in the field of public transportation, and has successfully brought new energy vehicles such as taxis, tourist buses, and public buses to Singapore. Up to now, BYD’s new energy vehicle footprint has spread all over the world on 6 continents, more than 50 countries and regions, and more than 300 cities. All kinds of pure electric buses have delivered more than 70,000 vehicles globally, of which they occupy 20% of the market share of electric buses in Europe, ranking first. In addition, BYD’s passenger car overseas business is also progressing in an orderly and steady manner. At present, BYD has successfully delivered the 1,000th BYD TANG EV to customers in the Norwegian market, and the four-wheel-drive high-performance version of the flagship HAN EV has also successfully arrived in Brazil.
