The 2026 Paris Motor Show marked the European debut of the Li Auto i6, a mid-to-large electric SUV that will be marketed internationally as the Li 6. The company announced plans to officially enter the European market in the first quarter of 2027, with Norway and the Netherlands serving as the initial launch markets for deliveries. Li Auto also confirmed intentions to introduce extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) models to Europe in the future, alongside deep localization efforts for both software and hardware to cater to regional preferences.
Li Auto Chairman and CEO Li Xiang reflected on the brand’s long-standing connection to Paris, noting that the company’s original vision in 2015 included designs compliant with European L6e standards. Addressing recent market commentary regarding the pace of its international expansion, Li emphasized a strategy of “preparedness and localization,” ensuring that the most suitable products are tailored for each specific market. This follows the establishment of an overseas R&D center in Munich last year and the launch of the Li L9 in Central Asia this past July.
The Li 6 is designed to address European driving conditions, such as narrow city streets and the prevalence of cross-border travel, by offering a more agile footprint without compromising interior comfort or smart technology. In its domestic market, the model has achieved over 190,000 cumulative deliveries within its first year.
The 2026 model year updates include a refreshed front fascia aligning with the L9 and i9 design language, new ADB matrix headlights, and semi-concealed door handles. Measuring 4,950mm in length with a 3,000mm wheelbase, the SUV offers 20-inch or 21-inch wheels. Inside, the cabin features a 29-inch 6K panoramic front display and a 21-inch 4K rear entertainment screen. Comfort is prioritized with dual zero-gravity front seats offering 18-point massage, and a “Queen Seat” configuration in the second row.
Technologically, the vehicle is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 cockpit chip and Li Auto’s proprietary Mach M100 autonomous driving chip, which delivers 1,280 TOPS of computing power. The vehicle utilizes a 96 kWh battery pack, providing a CLTC-rated range of 780 kilometers (approx. 485 miles) and supporting 5C ultra-fast charging. Powertrain options include a single-motor version with 250kW output and a dual-motor variant with a combined output of 400kW.
