Recently, we obtained a set of road test spy photos of SAIC MAXUS NEW mass production models from relevant channels. The new car adopts the hardcore off-road style as a whole, and the overall shape may become the future design style of other SAIC MAXUS models.

Although the test car uses a heavier camouflage jersey, we can still find some clues through the details. For example, the new car as a whole draws on the -MAXUS NEW concept pickup truck that was unveiled at the 2020 Chengdu and Guangzhou Auto Show. The overall momentum is significantly stronger than the existing T60 and T70 models. Specifically, the new car uses a large-size front grille, and adds rough lines to the edges for decoration and outlines. With the long and narrow daytime running lights above, it looks very sci-fi. At the same time, the heavy downward front and the three-dimensional lines on the engine compartment cover are combined to give a sense of muscle.

The sideways are also embellished with wide and thick lines, with the front and rear raised wheel eyebrows, further highlighting the car’s muscular sense. At the same time, the car is also equipped with a roof rack, which not only visually enhances a lot of layering, but also enhances practicality. It is worth mentioning that we have seen some test vehicles equipped with cargo gantry.

In terms of power, the new car will be powered by a SAIC π 2.0T twin-turbocharged diesel engine with a peak torque expected to reach 500N·m.
