SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd. (English abbreviation SGMW), which was officially listed on November 18, 2002, is composed of Shanghai Automobile Group Co., Ltd., General Motors Corporation, and Guangxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (formerly Liuzhou Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd.). Its predecessor can be traced back to Liuzhou Power Machinery Factory established in 1958.
SGMW has Liuzhou Hexi headquarters, Liuzhou Baojun base, Qingdao branch and Chongqing branch, total of four major manufacturing bases
SGMW owns two major auto brands, Baojun and Wuling. On July 18, 2010, SGMW released the passenger car brand “Bao Jun” and officially entered the passenger car market. On July 11, 2017, SGMW’s wholly-owned subsidiary Indonesian company was completed and put into production.
On May 25, 2020, the Wuling brand released a global silver logo, starting its new global journey.
