The Wey V9X has officially launched in China, with three models priced between 349,800 and 389,800 yuan (approximately $48,300 to $53,800 USD). Currently, all available models feature the Super Hi4 plug-in hybrid powertrain, with HEV and pure EV versions expected to join the lineup later this year.
The V9X adopts an “Oriental Classic Aesthetic” design language, characterized by a bold, boxy silhouette. The front fascia features a closed “Star Ring” grille integrated with a full-width LED light bar and a floating illuminated logo. It is equipped with “Hi Light” intelligent headlights capable of projecting various driving assistance scenarios and welcome animations.
In terms of dimensions, the standard wheelbase version measures 5,205/2,025/1,825mm with a 3,050mm wheelbase, while the extended version stretches to 5,299mm in length with a 3,150mm wheelbase. All models ride on 21-inch wheels. The rear design echoes the front with a “Stereo Overlap” taillight assembly and a hidden exhaust layout.
Inside, the cabin is centered around a high-tech interface featuring a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, dual 17.3-inch screens for the center console and front passenger, and a 29-inch SR-HUD. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip, the system includes an AI-driven “Xiao Wei” assistant capable of proactive emotion detection and scene-based care. The interior is finished in Nappa leather with intricate 3D quilting.
The V9X is built on the new “Guiyuan S” platform, which emphasizes modularity and AI-driven integration. Performance is handled by the Super Hi4 system, combining a 2.0T engine with dual motors. Depending on the configuration, the system delivers a maximum power output ranging from 500kW to 550kW. Battery options include 55.4kWh, 66.6kWh, and 80kWh packs, offering CLTC pure electric ranges of 310km, 402km, and 470km, respectively. The chassis features double-wishbone front and five-link rear suspension, air suspension with five-level height adjustment, and rear-wheel steering.
